Sorry I am not understanding the question.

Are you asking about exercise and hyperthyroidim?

We would need more information. Are you on treatment? What are your hormone levels?

Think pre-workout is a type of protein powder/mineral mixture for those looking to bulk up.

My son used to use that when he attended the gym. I myself would be wary of doing any kind of strenuous exercise if you are hyperthyroid. When my levels were too high if I started to do anything that increased my heart rate I would start to feel very ill. I am just passing on my experience and I would be very careful if I was you.

Agree with Lora7, I would be very wary of doing too much exercise. When I was ill with an overactive thyroid my muscles strength was so weak I couldn’t get up off the ground without having something or someone to hold on to. I used to do long distance walking but I had to stop that because I just didn’t have the strength or energy. I knew I was betterwhen I wanted and was able to do a long walk.

I kept going to my gym - I didn’t want to have to give up everything I enjoyed doing because of Graves’ disease but I turned all the machines down and was just ticking over. Same with Pilates - I kept going but my teacher is a physiotherapist so she adjusted all the exercises to suit my body.

So if I were you I wouldn’t try to force exercise until your thyroid has been fixed. I don’t think using pre workout will help when it’s you ur thyroid that is causing muscle weakness. Thyroid medication and time are more likely to get you back to normal.

yes i agree with the others. when i was hyper i could hardly walk up a slight incline. i also couldnt get up from a squatting position without holding on. i used to do a slight workout every day and i eventually was unable to do that. i lost a lot of muscle and felt very ill. thankfully i am okay now after eventually getting treated

That was me. Its dad how it affects your thighs isn’t it. I was out taking photos of fungi when I first noticed that I couldn’t get up off the ground without either holding on to a nearby tree or my husband pulling me. At first I thought it was because I had too much stuff in my backpack but before long I realised I had a real problem.

I crouched down at a meeting to plug a projector in. The only thing handy to help lever myself up was the highly unstable projector stand, so I had to ask for help. So embarrassing!
