A non-thyroid question

It is very late and a little mystery is drifting through my brain and I have often wondered about this.

Let's say you answer a question, you hit post, your writing gets "out there" where the whole world can read it. As you reread your post you spot a stupid or embarrassing error. When you hit "edit" to correct your mistake in your original answer is still "out there" or is it invisible until you hit done (update?) for your edit?

Once you edit it your mistake is gone but it might have been read before you corrected it. I have done this myself when not reading the original post correctly.

I'm not sure, but I think it's invisible until you hit 'done'. I have that impression, anyway. :)

That's how I want it to be.

I don't know, can they? Can they also reply?

Well, it sometimes happens that when I try to reply to a comment/post, I get a notice that the thread isn't available at that moment. And, then, after a few minutes, it becomes available and I can post. I'd always taken it that someone was corrected a mistake somewhere, but I could be mistaken about that. lol

Thanks guys, it's awful to imagine the whole (thyroid) world thinking you are a complete idiot or an ignorant moron or "fancy not being able to spell that" for even a few milliseconds.

I should imagine the majority of people wouldn't even notice. With predictable text - is that what it's called? - we see some real howlers sometimes! lol

Most doctors and pharmacists cannot spell

Yes, of course! Silly me. But, I don't have a mobile phone, so I'm not an expert. :)
