Eddie777, I don't think PAD comes up for discussion much on this thyroid forum. You might get more help from the British Heart Foundation community here healthunlocked.com/bhf/

I feel I might have this. Have chronic aches in my calves and up the back of my thighs.. some nights I can’t sleep. Just had a plethora of blood tests which I’ve got the results on my GP app. Most seem like they were checking for clots. I’ll speak to dr tomorrow. How do u actually get diagnosed with this condition.

How are your B12 levels, when very low can cause numbness and tingling. Can be low from diet or a lack of intrinsic factor called Pernicious Anemia.

I supplement with a B complex daily. B-12 was 800 on my last blood test. Thank you for commenting.

That's good that you supplement. Once you have been taking it the B12 skews the blood test for its levels until you have been off B12 for many months.

Hi Eddie, look at herbs such as Hawthorn (Crataegus), Tilia (Linden) and lots of garlic, just as examples. Hawthorn is fantastic for all cardiovascular system, take note it is slow and gentle, you need to take for months not days. Some herbs can potentise any medication you are already on or speed it up through the body. SJW is a theoretical example of the latter. Both herbs I’ve mentioned are safe.

A herbalist will put a formula together for you.

Thank you for commenting. I may have a nutrient absorption issue as well. Would taking a tincture of those herbs be more effective for me? (I have SIBO)

Hi Eddie, it is possible to treat SIBO using herbs - but causative factors would need to be looked at - for example - over use of antibiotics for acne. Berberine containing herbs are useful such as berberis vulgaris and goldenseal. Tincture of hawthorn and tilia will be fine with this. As I said before, a herbalist would put together a complete formulation based on a 60-90 minute consultation. Worth looking at. Find one via professional bodies - Association of Master Herbalists, CPP or NIMH for eg.

I don't know much about it Eddie777 other than that my late dad had it, so he had surgery. I do believe it is a vascular problem so might get more information from the Heart Foundation. My dad also had a B12 deficiency too. Hope you get the information you need. Best wishes.
