Micky7, This is a very unfortunate situation that has happened because of the pandemic and I'm sure many people here totally understand your dilemma. However, I doubt anyone here is in a position to offer useful advise. If you have tracking details, then it proves the item was properly despatched, so the supplier has fulfilled their obligation at that point. It is not their fault that the cargo has been stranded at an airport. The only thing to do is to get in touch with the supplier and see if they can help from their end, or if you can come to some sort of agreement regarding a refund.
Maybe it is the carrier that you should be contacting, as they are the ones that haven't actually fulfilled their obligation of getting the goods from supplier to customer.
All I can add is that we are tightly shut down in California due to the virus. I called my bank the other day with a simple question and I was told the wait time was "more than 3 hours". I think your order will eventually get flushed out of the system. i think flogging this issue is probably a waste of time and energy.
No, no, I mean that it will eventually "come out the other end". Instead of lots of people moving stuff along you probably have one guy doing his best and falling short of minimal efficiency and a huge, HUGE back log of packages. As people trickle back to work the packages will start flowing again - as long as we don't get a big spike in covid cases, in which case we will do all of this stay-at-home all over again.
