Adding T3 what is the best way to start adding this

Based on my latest test results posted yesterday, I want to start adding T3 to my 100mcg levo. I am unsure how to do this and would appreciate hearing from anybody doing the same thing for some guidance. I’m guessing that starting low and then getting retested is the safest route. Also can you split tabs so as to save on cost eg 25mcg split into 2. Would really appreciate hearing from anybody who has done this.

Thank you

TSH 0.862 (0.27-4.2)

Free T3 3.63 (3.1-6.8)

Free T4 26.5 (12-22)

Results from previous post

So you have high Ft4..

Suggest you reduce levothyroxine by 25mcg

After 3 days on reduced levo add in 1/4 tablet (6.25mcg) T3 in morning

Assuming that goes ok...

Add second 1/4 tablet (6.25mcg) mid to late afternoon

Hold at that dose for 6-8 weeks and retest FULL thyroid and vitamins

Get a sharp craft scalpel to cut tablet into 1/4’s

Any crumbs...don’t waste ...pick up with damp finger

Reduce levothyroxine by 25mcg as it is over range. Wait one week.

Then start liothyronine quarter of tablet.

Wait 2 weeks.

If all okay add another quarter of tablet either at same time as first quarter or as a second dose.

Wait 2 weeks.

Add another quarter tablet again to existing doses or as third dose.

Wait 2 weeks

Add last quarter tablet.

Wait 8 weeks . Blood tests which must include FT3.

You don't need to end up on a full tablet dose. If at any stage you think you are on enough for the time being then hold dose for 8 weeks and test bloods.

Yes 1/4 of 25mcg tablet as maximum starting dose

But before considering adding T3 you must get vitamins tested
