Teva contains mannitol as a filler, which seems to be possible cause of problems.

It’s a Marmite brand, many hate it, some love it.

Teva is the only brand that makes 75mcg tablet. So if avoiding Teva for 75mcg dose ask for 25mcg to add to 50mcg or just extra 50mcg tablets to cut in half

Teva and Aristo are the only lactose free tablets

Hi there - I am on the liquid lactose free thyroid hormone - I was avoiding Teva like the plague having row after row in the chemists - they would take weeks to order in Mercury Pharma for me - there were 6 bottles of Teva I refused to accept when they got it wrong again and eventually with one spoonful left got the MP.

It has been getting me down every time and the last prescription same happened we cannot get it - 2 weeks they were still trying to get it and I didn't know whether I was going to get it or not - so in desperation I said 'oh for goodness sake just give me a bottle of the Teva to try - thank goodness I did - it really suits me - I have had to reduce my dose down to 85mcg from 100 mcg of MP as I thought my eyes were going to explode on the 100 mcg - it was stronger - I looked on the Teva Data sheet for the product and wrote to them and it is exactly the same - but it isn't if you know what I mean - I am starting to lose weight and feel so much more energetic and my skin is improved as the circulation is sped up to normal. What a terrible shame these companies put such stupid fillers in - mannitol is known to cause issues.

Thanks for this positive and encouraging reply! I have in desperation been trying T EVA pills but not sure

I have also been trying THYROID-s (at great expense) but not sure i]of that either. Have sent a blood test to blue horizon to see what blood s are but having difficulty getting results as I forgot to enclose an important form with sample !!...My fault = silly me!

Hi there - oh this thyroid hormone debacle is so awful isn't it.

I tried NDT - Armour and ERFA but they didn't agree with me as I found out months down the line - if not years down the line - that I had too much T3 by taking this - I thought the dripping with perspiration was my thyroid running too low - it was running too fast - I came off and I felt a lot better - but then I took Levo tablets and didn't realise that I had been 'officially' diagnosed with lactose intolerance in the 80's - after a few months I felt sicker and sicker and looked like one of the patients in the old archive photos in the 1900's of thyroid patients before treatment. Thank goodness I took photo's - I had had problems with milk and was using lactose free milk - spreadable butter, cheese and cream etc. but never took it on board that as soon as I took the levo tablet I had to run to the loo - unbeknown to me I was losing the medication due to sensitivity to the lactose within the tablets.

I looked so ill. After talking with my GP and taking along the Lactose testing blood result that I had found whilst looking through old documents - I haven't looked back as far as tummy problems - but no real results with weight loss energy etc. - until Teva liquid.

What exactly are the problems you are experiencing with different products?

Thanks for your story, to be honest I can't be much help Re

MY probs, just don't feel right, and of course that excuse no use to doc. That's why I'm trying (by paying privately for tests) to find out, and I made a silly mistake re blood sample to Blue Horizon. I'm more than old enough to know better but I never learn

Hi it's called brain fog !!! Done the same many times. Are you taking Teva tablets now - I wonder if vitamins supplements might help you - do you take any? Have you got a blood pressure monitor - I have found this Teva liquid has normalised my blood pressure for the first time in 25 years. - but wonder if yours may have gone a little low - taking BP is a good way to see what the adrenal gland is doing.

Ah the good old brain fog!.. I'm not taking any vits. at present - don't feel I need any! , I am on BP meds so keep a check on that I'm taking NDT now abut will have to see if I can get a check on thyroid results to know if that's the answer.
