Heat sensations

experiencing heat sensations in the chest area. I check the heart rate at that time and it seems fine (i.e not high). It happens when I am at rest, or sometimes follows anxious thoughts or sometimes after meals. Also takes a lot of energy to do things (I.e. lacking energy). Are thes symptoms of overactive thyroid i.e. too much thyroid hormone. Have others experienced this. I have been checked by cardiologist in December.

Your last post with results does not indicate you are overactive - the FT3 looks good. You mentioned your Adrenal test - which was low - so perhaps further investigation is required.

Are you taking any other medication ?

The FT3 was good, FT4 was slightly outside of the upper range. Could FT4 be causing these symptoms. Agree that further investigation is required.

I am taking medication for high blood pressure, which I have been for a while.

I have read that blood pressure tablets can affect thyroid results. How much Levo do you take ? I don't remember which meds - sorry.

Often BP is raised when Magnesium is low - do you supplement?

I don't take Levo.

I have been recently taking Magnesuim Glycinate for sleep. In the last blood test the Magnesium was within range.

Yes Magnesium is usually within the very narrow range. When low in the blood it is stolen from the bones so levels are importantly maintained ...
