Trying to get GP to do bloods

Does anyone on here think I should try to convince my GP surgery to do blood tests. I can honestly say I've never felt so ill. Every muscle and joint is painful,I have no appetite, I feel sick,I've developed tremor in arms and legs and quite honestly I feel like my body is shutting down. My mental health is the worst it's ever been and have what feels like constant palpitations and rapid heart rate. I don't know whether I can handle the stress of being told " No blood tests due to coronavirus " I thought the NHS was still treating people with other health conditions apart from Covid 19. During this virus there'll be a lot of people dying because their GP has refused to see them face to face.

All you can do is contact your surgery and ask. I know my surgery is doing important routine stuff, and another one about 20 miles away is seeing patients for certain things but they have to either wear their own mask or they will be handed one at the surgery, plus hand sanitiser, etc.

Have you tried taking low dose propranolol again ....you reduced from very high dose extremely quickly

No but not sure if I should as I only have 40mg dose left over from last prescription and getting any lower dose would require speaking to GP and they already think I'm a real pain.

Presumably that’s a slow release capsule....or is it a tablet?

It's a tablet but I really don't want to take it because it's causing havoc with my conversion and that for me is the main problem and what is the root cause of my ever worsening depression and anxiety.

But if it gets unbearable...you could take a 1/4 of tablet as required

You did cut propranolol down really extremely quickly.

Adrenals need time to recover from each reduction

I found the only manageable reduction was to cut by 5mg ..wait 2 weeks at that dose...then reduce by another 5mg waiting another 2 weeks ..etc ...repeat until down to last 5mg. That was by far the hardest. Cutting one day a week. Then 2 days a week etc

I contacted my GP two weeks ago as I was starting to have hyper symptoms having been hypo before Christmas and as my Endocrinologist is not seeing patients at all they said they would post out a blood test form to me. Took over a week to arrive in what would have been a 10 minute trip to go and collect it. Went to have them done on Thursday having to also justify why I was there and that it was important and now just waiting for the results.

I find at the moment you have to really exaggerate what you are going through or what could happen if you don't get sorted

I agree with you once all this is over more people will have died from many other causes other than the virus

I contacted my surgery at the beginning of last week and told them that I was well overdue blood tests. I went into the clinic on Friday and was given my results on Monday via a telephone appointment with my GP. Ring them and ask if you’re feeling that I’ll.
