Hi all, I have always been on actavis as any other products tend to give me negative reactions (Pharmacy informed of this ages ago) , I collected my 100mcg pills today only to get home and find out they are Accord in the northstar box. Can anyone advise being I ring and complain.

Cheers

Stay safe

Yes - I can.

Look at the box. Turn it round and somewhere (often the long side at the bottom) it will say who the licence holder is. It will say Accord (or, possibly, Actavis).

Northstar is an own-label supplier.

Cheers, looks like they have the same ingredients and from the same address, may have to just give them a go as it looks like they may all be changing to accord then.

Just called them, they messed up and have now replaced with actavis. Admin error. 👍

But Activas are now Accord? I got info from my chemist in January with a print out to show it

Agreed, it looks like they may change to Accord when the other stock runs out, my pharmacy didn't even know and said they still have actavis. They make it all so confusing.

I thought that might be the case. My chemist has to order them so hence the new stock

My latest script is 2 boxes of Actavis and 2 of Accord so presumably they had new stock in and all will be Accord before long.

Hi

I have recently received Accord, when I always stipulate to the pharmacist I must have Actavis.

I always check they have given me the right ones whilst in the chemist, but because the box was the same I thought they were Actavis and did not realise until I got home they were Accord but pharmacist had written on Actavis.

Comparing the leaftlet they are the same ingredients but can anyone confirm they are in fact the same and as Accord taken over Actavis.

Yes. The company that has owned the Actavis brand used for supplying levothyroxine in the UK has been called Accord for quite a long time.

I suspect they had a limited period for which they were allowed to use the Actavis branding.

I tried to say that they are the same in my response earlier.

Accord have simply changed the branding. Check the Product Licence numbers!
