Many of you have probably already heard that over-reactivity of the immune system has been implicated in fatality associated with Covid-19, but this article provides a bit of an update.

Wow, this makes 100% sense and might explain why some ppl with pre-existing conditions get hit the hardest.

Ample proof that we need to await the demise of this virus and see the statistics and not make any presumptions about how vulnerable/unsusceptible so many patients with hypothyroidism actually may be, especially those with Hashimoto and/or unresolved residual thyroid symptoms.

Let us all hope that those statistics are NOT interfered with by the BTA/BTF to stifle the truth in order to safeguard the future of those 2 charities.

I read about this years ago. The cytokine response was the actual cause of death during the Spanish Flu. And this may be the reason younger people are more at risk.

They've had a hundred years and thousands of flu deaths you would think it would have been figured out by now.

It appears that IL-6 (among others) is already raised in Thyroid Eye Disease.

The BTF statement mentions issues with medicines for TED but not (as I read it) that the disease itself could be an issue.
