21 year old female, no underlying conditions, dies of Covid-19

In case any younger people still think Covid-19 will be a breeze to sail through, here’s proof that it may very well not be.

I’m sure many of you have already read this and it’s really sad it has come to this. This 21 year old British lady, Chloe Middleton, had no underlying health conditions (as of yet as it might be reported later on that she unknowingly suffered from some other illness), but her immunity system was still not strong enough to battle the virus. I suspect it might be because she had been infected by the virus’ bacteria from more than one person. Since younger people have not been taking it as seriously as they should have, they have been congregating a lot and likely spreading the virus.

Her aunt said something very important in the article that we all should have taken seriously long before now: “The virus isn’t spreading, people are spreading the virus.”

They are doing the same thing to supermarkets here but, as in your case, people don’t always listen or stand where it’s marked.

I think the reason they are not stocking enough essentials on the shelves is to deter people from panic buying. That, or it’s due to the laziness and carelessness of employees. Some major chain supermarkets here have been very slow and unprofessional about the whole situation, taking forever to restock and leaving shelves empty. Other supermarket chains have been very quick to restock and are always making sure to have plenty on hand to put people’s fears at ease.

I know, right? I saw some videos on YouTube showing how much food, toilet paper and other essentials people have bought in bulk and kept at their houses. Like mountains of things...and I thought I bought a lot 😄.

I was trying to be considerate of other shoppers too at first but when I saw how much they were buying and how quick the shelves would go out of stock of sanitizers and disinfectant cleaning items, I started being a little selfish and bought one or two extra of each item.

I’m almost always ashamed to be human 😄😩.

Most of my local supermarket is reasonably well stocked now apart from loo roll and caster sugar. People are buying varying amounts of groceries depending on household size, but it doesn't look like stockpiling anymore, thank goodness, judging by what I have seen. Lots of veg available so homemade soup is what we're having quite frequently (cooking/sterilizing the food).

I am aware that young people could not only be asymptomatic carriers but also victims and despite their craving for each other's company they must follow the same rules as the rest of us. I know it's pretty hard for them to be cooped up with family especially if they're in a relationship with someone who isn't living locally enough to meet up for a walk outside (maintaining distance between them), but they should be reminded that their great grandparents who fought in the war didn't see their partners for months on end and had no internet either........that is emotional stamina!

Staying at home most of the time isn’t the worst thing because it means you don’t have to worry about what to wear or fixing your hair to look decent every day before going out. It also means less laundry 😄. We gotta find ways to look at the bright side.
