I have a Blue Horizon thyroid blood test coming up this week but I've forgotten what I need to do in advance. I stopped taking Biotin over a week ago and I wonder if I need to have been fasting and when is the last time I can take my NDT before the test? Also is there anything else I need to do before my blood test? Thank you very much in advance x

Biotin/B Complex only needs to be left off for 7 days.
Last dose of NDT should be 8-12 hours before blood draw splitting dose and adjusting time the day before if necessary.
Fast overnight from evening meal/supper, no breakfast or coffee before blood draw, water only to drink.
Blood draw no later than 9am.
When are you planning to do this test, as you say "this week". They tell you to test and send off the same day but Monday to Wednesday only so that the sample arrives before the weekend and is not delayed over the weekend.
I always send mine Royal Mail Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm and get the receipt to track it. I sent one off today and even using that service I wouldn't send it later than a Wednesday just in case it gets delayed (as it has in the past, but if you have the receipt you can claim your fee back).
