A friend of mine has pain in the erea of her thyroid and complain of tiredness. Het doctor checked her tsh which was 1,45. The doctor says its not yr thyroid. Is that correct or is it still possible to have nodules on the thyroid for exemple ?

Testing TSH alone is not enough, it doesn't rule out autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) nor does it rule out Central Hypothyroidism. She needs the following for a full picture:
TSH
FT4
FT3
Thyroid antibodies
SlowDragonAdministrator
Plus vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B-12
These can be low due to hypothyroidism or can cause symptoms in their own right
Obviously low vitamin D at this time of year is EXTREMELY common
Low iron and ferritin linked to fatigue
