Today started medication levo, i had taken thyrax half year ago for one month. Do you prefer thyrax or levo (the dr already had made a mistake by saying i made this appointment due to yr high result tsh whereas I had made the appointment which i told her. Than when she started saying I gonna give medication seen u never had prescribed medication for it I thought wil not embarass you again by saying I did. Than she would have seen i had thyrax before. (Thyrax its easier to take in as its smaller but more advantages?)

Thyrax is levo. The pill may be a different size, but it's still the same active ingredient - levothyroxine (T4). :)

Perhaps more filling in it, cause thyrax was small(light bleu) and had to even break in 2 as or was 50 and had to take 25.

Maybe, I don't know what fillers it has in it. :)

In UK we don't get Thyrax as an option, so you are unlikely to hear of anyone's direct experience

Many people find Levothyroxine brands are not interchangeable.

Once you find a brand that suits you, best to make sure to only get that one at each prescription.

Watch out for brand change when dose is increased or at repeat prescription.

In France patients had trouble with Merck levothyroxine when they replaced lactose with mannitol.

Different Fillers can upset patients

Many patients do NOT get on well with Teva brand of Levothyroxine. (Also contains mannitol) Though it is the only one for lactose intolerant patients. Teva is the only brand that makes 75mcg tablet.

No other medication at same as Levothyroxine, leave at least 2 hour gap.

Some like calcium, magnesium, HRT, omeprazole or vitamin D should be four hours away

(Time gap doesn't apply to Vitamin D mouth spray)

Levothyroxine should always be taken on empty stomach and then nothing apart from water for at least an hour after

Many people take Levothyroxine soon after waking, but it may be more convenient and more effective taken at bedtime

Thank you so much. Is it possible as I took the dose half hour before I ate anything that it affect my mood already?

You should always take your dose, with one full glass of water, on an empty stomach and wait an hour before eating. Food can interfere with the uptake of hormones.
