New doctor and feeling positive !!!

I went to a new doctor today who specialises in women’s health and I actually cried as she told me I’ve done such great research on Hashimoto’s already and how it’s her turn to look after me :))) I’ve had a full 3 hours medical waiting in bloods and ages started me on DHEA until results back and then may change my thyroid meds ,I’m feeling positive for first time on this Hashimoto’s road

So nice to hear of a great Dr visit! Please keep us posted. I am especially interested in hearing about the DHEA thing. Of course I know about DHEA but I haven’t heard but it was specifically useful to Hashimoto’s. You may find out all kinds of great things that can help some of the rest of us. That would be so nice! Thanks for sharing.

I think she’s prescribed the DHEA cause she’s looking at all my hormones overall as I’m almost 45 and biggest symptom is constant exhaustion along with other things like very low libido .

You found a rare *GEM*. A Dr that is a *Good Listener* and validates you and thinks *Out Of The Box* is a *Keeper*.

Best Wishes .

Well done. It just goes to show what sympathetic doctor can achieve and the patient feels confident that the doctor will help resolve their clinical symptoms. That gives hope and hope is what we need when suffering.

Thank you ,I actually cried and I not a crier :)) when she said it looks like you’re a very clever lady and have done a lot of research then she touched my arm and said “ no it’s my turn to look after you “ so fingers crossed for a brighter 2020 .

It sounds like docs are reading our posts on this forum and some of them are getting the message.

I hope they are ... I did tell my MP in a email to read some of the heartbreaking stories on this site about women who are suicidal because of untreated thyroid disease ... I hope she has read them and seen what is going on in the UK with people who have untreated thyroid disease.
