My daughter went by ambulance to Royal Adelaide hospital on the 11th December with head ache and had lost feeling in left side of body and face we thought it was a stroke she started vomiting in the ambulance and kept vomiting profusely for over 1hour I asked the doctors to give her something to stop her vomiting, they kept her in hospital 12 hours she was still numb and tingly down left side but it was a little better so they said probably a migraine and sent her home. We were home 12hours and it happened again ,this time I took her to emergency dept she vomiting profusely non stop and they made us wait in emergency dept for for 1hour ,she was unable to stand up even when she got in the doctors took 1hour to come look at her by then she was not responding to me,they the started thinking it might be MENINGITIS and shifted her to isolation they did CT , MRI and spinal tap over quite a long time and also started her on antibiotics intravenously they then pushed her out the door again and said come back again if get worse OUR ADELAIDE HOSPITAL IS A DISGRACE EVERY ONE IS UP IN ARMS ABOUT HOW IT IS OPERATED . MY QUESTION IS .? She is home and feels like vomiting , she still has head ache and is just sleeping all the time ,I carnt seem to find any information about how people react and feel whilst recovering like to know if feeling dreadful and like vomiting and head ache is normal and if so how long does or should one let it go on for. Worried mum would appreciate hearing how other people felt and for how long when they were recoveri g from VIRAL MENINGITIS. THANK YOU.

Sorry to hear that Ossuryak. I wonder if you’ve posted to the right forum, as this is Thyroid UK. Was your daughter given a diagnosis? Can you ring the hospital and ask them?
