In response to someone on here who suggested I might sleep better - my sleep was constantly disturbed - if I didn’t wear my Fitbit I stopped wearing it at night, we’ll I’ve stopped wearing it altogether and - big surprise - I have been sleeping much better since I’ve been without it.
So I’ve come to the conclusion (even though I really didn’t believe it would make any difference) that my Fitbit was interfering with my sleeping pattern.
I’d say if you are a Fitbit wearer who is fed up with constantly waking up during the night then leave your Fitbit in another room for a couple of weeks and see what happens.

Absolutely agree. I was given one for Christmas last year and began wearing it all the time but quickly noticed I was waking at night with a racing heart (not Afib). I carried on wearing during the day but noticed I was still waking with a racing heart. Stopped it altogether (sorry Fitbit) and racing heart all gone. Maybe other members have discovered the same effect?
How interesting. Have you found any reliable info about why this might be happening? For those of us who don't already own one, seems like a good enough reason not to get one!
No, sorry. I have not looked and I suppose I should, as indicated in my reply to the post below. I feel instinctively that it cannot be good for the body generally but I am sure millions of people would argue the case for it.
I always think of myself as an outlier, so I think you are probably an example of the way most normal people would react. Nevertheless it seems a tad questionable being attached to wireless networks 24 hours a day. I must see what I can dig up on it but I definitely signed the petition against 5G masts.
Think my reply to the person who queried it a couple of months ago was exactly the same as yours then I realised that I wasn’t actually sleeping all that well which was why I took mine off.
I use mine heavily for resting heart rate. Wake up if it’s not on. It’s the big ionic too but hardly notice it except when getting tight cuffs on and off. Had to go back last week as GPS died and felt like my arm was missing.
Funny how different things affect us all so differently.
