I have noticed a few posts over the months discussing the causes of raised ferritin levels, and fatty liver disease.
This is a newly published conference presentation by a gastroenterologist and hepatologist, Dr Andrew McIntyre. He says raised ferritin can be a marker for fatty liver disease, which can be reversed in a matter of weeks.
That made me laugh! Chunks of swede roasted with onions and mushrooms, or what ever other veg you like, is quite a nice substitute. Doesn't really crisp up but still tasty.
First time I listened to it while exercising. Second time I watched it so I could read his slides. 19 minutes in his slide titled RISK FACTORS/ASSOCIATIONS - list includes hypothyroidism! Shouldn't be surprised by now, crops up everywhere.
