Has anybody any feed back on this medication, never heard of it and would appreciate any help before purchasing it.

Don't. This medicine is only to treat cats who are hyperthyroid. It contains the thyroid blocker thiamazole, which is a relative of carbimazole that is used for hyperthyroidism in humans. Animal veterinary products are unsuitable for humans.

Wow - they do not make this clear, it is listed as though it were for humans. Phew I was tempted, many thanks indeed.

isn't that Thyronorm oral solution by Norbrook? There is an Abbott Thyronorm which is thyroxine sodium for people. Check the active ingredient .

Levo-thyroxine is the active ingredient listed and it is in tablet form. Maker - Abbott. Have also looked online and yes the same name is used for animals but in liquid form and much smaller dosage. I found other sites advertising it for human consumption. Wish i knew a vet who could maybe clear this up. Thank you for you input, much appreciated.

If it is an online pharmacy, it will be a generic HUMAN thyroxine sodium. Can't advise on how good it is as I don't take levo. Check fillers etc before ordering. I've seen it on a lot of sites but no idea what people think of it. The feline drug is related to carbi/methimazole for hyper and so wouldn't show thyroxine as an ingredient.

Gosh glad you posted and diogenes was able to advise! I hope the actual packaging makes it clear that it’s for our feline friends! Shows how careful with things we need to be so a good general message to us all!

Thyronorm sourced in UK is a feline drug, online it it is usually thyroxine. Different labs using same product name

Confusing though especially if not feeling too good.
