And I can’t think of a mechanism.

I can't imagine why it would. It's only thyroid hormone, not a drug.

It's certainly not creating a new one. But, don't you believe that it's replacing the thyroid hormone T4?

I don't think so. But being undermedicated can cause early miscarriage.

i just recently had my dosage increased and the next day is when i took my test thats why i was wondering . thank you for the response

You should be monitored as a result of the pregnancy. What was your last test result? How many weeks are you?
