I am interested in hearing what symptoms people experience when they are levo-intolerant. I am also interested in hearing from anyone who has found ways to reduce levo intolerance symptoms.
Briefly, my situation is: thyroid destroyed by long-term Hashi's secondary to gluten intolerance. Was on T3-only for a while. I can tolerate T4 only if I keep my FT4 right at/near bottom of the range, which is 0.59-2.19 ng/dl at the lab I use. I weigh about 78kg and can tolerate about 50mcg levo (as Levoxyl) per day, to which I add 10-20mcg T3 daily. If I raise my levo dose higher, I get anxiety and insomnia. This implies to me that T4->T3 conversion happens at a very slow rate. So far as I can tell, my body is not able to raise T3 in the early morning, when it is supposed to.

Who said that the body is supposed to raise T3 in the morning? First time I've heard that. What I heard is that most T3 is produced during the night, when all the reparation and regeneration is going on?
Are you sure you're not muddling it up with cortisol? That is supposed to be at its highest early morning, to get you up out of bed and on with your day.
So, symptoms of T4 intolerance… Well, I suppose they were just general hypo symptoms, only more so. Nothing specific. But even after being on T3 only for… six/seven years, I still cannot tolerate T4. I've tried twice to introduce it, with a suitable reduction in my T3, but both times I had to abandon the experiment after a couple of months, because I just didn't feel well. And it was such a relief to get rid of it! And I was only taking 25 mcg.
I'm not sure on what you base your conclusion that your conversion is slow. I've never heard of slow conversion before. For myself, I convert perfectly. No problem. But my body just doesn't like T4. And I've no idea why.
When I said "morning", I meant the wee hours, around 0400. That is what the recoveringwitht3 guy states. I was hoping that I would hear specific symptoms from people, that might give me a clue WRT why my body rebels when I put "too much" T4 into it, where "too much" is an amount that pushes my FT4 just above the lower end of normal range.
Well, that's not what you asked. And, how do you know your body is 'rebelling' from too much T4, anyway? And an FT4 just over the lower end of the range is too little for most people, not too much, and it would give most people hypo symptoms. To be honest, I really have no idea what you're asking, here. Perhaps you could start at the beginning and tell us what's going on - with lab results and ranges? You might get more answers, then.
