Hi - i’ve just tried to let some blood for a fingerprick test .. observing the best conditions for such - and think I’ve just had something like a hypo. I don’t have a problem with blood or finger prick test but whilst try to get some blood I went really light headed/dizzy, palpitations, spasms in my stomach and quite intense nausea. I had to lie down immediately and let it pass which took about 5 minutes. I’ve stopped the test and have had something to eat but wondered whether anyone had experienced something similar?
Many thanks

Once, when having stitches out, there was a great spurt of blood. I passed out completely - and I was lying down at the time. I don't normally have any problem with blood, either, but I don't think it had anything to do with being hypo.
It sounds like just one of those "taking blood" things that sometimes happen. I don't have a problem normally but once passed out head first off the chair onto a marble floor. My then-husband who was a seasoned blood donor, once had a full blown fit whilst lying there quietly giving blood.
