Hey guys

I wonder is any of you can help me.

I’m a bit of a weirdo nothing positive in my blood work only scans I have brain lesions found by mri and inflamed lymph nodes and Oesophagus though-out.

I have joint pain light headed swallow issues constant lump in my throat weakness in throat marking my speech slur a little. Good be anxiety not sure really

I’ve been trialed on hydro not sure it works really.

I have

Joint pain

Headaches

Muscle pain

Tired all the time

Slow vision not sure about blurred but it’s tried I can’t explain it.

Cold hands and feet a lot

Muscle Twitching and weakness

Tongue twitching

Only blood to be positive is ace slightly elevated

My question is can you still have thyroid issues with negative bloods

If so do I fit with thyroid

My mum had ms she passed last year all my lp and tests are negative for ms

My Nan has aps and my bloods are negative for this also

I’ve been looked at for lupus Sjögren everything really

Maybe uctd although the last doctor I see said I was 💯

Nothing wrong with me and its physiological 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Let me know what you think

My name is jade by the way and I’m 29 xx

It would help people to help you if you posted your actual results and ranges. Without them, anything that is said would just be guess-work. We need to know exactly what was tested and exactly what the results were. :)

Frequently medics only test TSH or TSH and FT4....both are inadequate to see if there's a thyroid problem

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also extremely important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if Thyroid antibodies are raised

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

Important to see exactly what has been tested and equally important what hasn't been tested yet

Come back with new post once you get results from doctor

All of which can be due to being hypothyroid

Were you tested for pernicious Anaemia before starting B12 injections

What about folate levels?

Yes I was told I had pa

But not really sure of the tests involved.

I just had 5 loading shots a b12 and now every 8weeks

I know folate was really low st one time but came back up so had no medication for it xx

So, if you have PA, it's likely you also have Hashi's. So, you need to know if you had your TPO antibodies tested. If you live in the UK, you are legally entitled to a printout of your results, just ask at reception. You should ask every time you have a blood test. It's the only way to get well.

Could very well be. But, your doctor will only test your TSH, in the erroneous idea that TSH=thyroid. It doesn't. And a TSH test on its own won't tell you very much. You need full thyroid testing:

TSH

FT4

FT3

TPO antibodies - especially if you have PA

TG antibodies

vit D

folate

ferritin

If you're having B12 injections, are you taking a daily B complex? That is very important to keep your Bs balanced.

No I’m not never been told this before x

Supplementing a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in not folic acid may be beneficial.

chriskresser.com/folate-vs-...

B vitamins best taken in the morning after breakfast

Igennus Super B complex are small tablets. Often only need one tablet per day, not two. Certainly only start with one tablet per day after breakfast. Retesting levels in 6-8 weeks

Or Thorne Basic B or jarrow B-right are other options that contain folate, but both are large capsules

If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

Low vitamin D and low B vitamins may be linked as explained here
