Has anyone tried the 24-hour thyroid urine test, how reliable is it?

It depends on what you want from the test.

I have done the urine thyroid test with Genova Diagnostics.

It's not meant to be diagnostic for hypothyroidism. After 40 years of being diagnosed hypothyroid and still not well I used the test to confirm what my blood test suggested - poor conversion of T4 to T3 (way over range FT4 needed to give FT3 just 50% through range).

My original urine test showed T4 to be 40% through the range but T3 to be well below range, suggesting that T4 was not converting to T3 very well.

I added T3 to my Levo and repeated the urine test a year later and it showed that T4 was 46% through range and T3 was now 50% through range.

Thank you very much, I want to use it to check for Ft4 and Ft3 when the regular blood test shows that TSH, T4 and T3 are within range while the patient has all the symptoms of Hypo. including basal body temperature is less than 36.5 Celcius
