The Washington Post ran an illustrated story today: washingtonpost.com/lifestyl...
One photo caught my attention: It features a blistering red circle swimming in a sea of blue interrupted by numbers. The reaction of the patient, a would-be chef and math lover is posted next to the work: "It feels true. I am not what my chart says."
You might want to say to your doctor, "I know that my lab tests tell you exactly what I am all about. But I am not my lab tests. I am real. I am a human, just like you. I am suffering, and you can do something about that."
