Hi there. I’ve been suffering with a virus for a few weeks now and am looking at taking an anti viral supplement but many are not recommended for people with auto immune diseases. Im wondering if anyone has any ideas what I could take which is suitable when you have hashimotos? Thanks in advance.

I have used the antiviral Olive Leaf capsules by Gaia Herbs, I have read that it’s also shown to help increase conversion of T4 into T3 but I haven’t seen anything about not using it with Hashimoto’s which I have also, you would probably need to do some research on it. I use herbs as my first line of defense when I can for any illness going on.

I just read about that Monolauren on that site you provided, it does sound promising and it also mentioned using Olive Leaf Extract, maybe Littlebelter will try one of them.

Thank you I’ll have a read up. I picked up some probiotics yesterday so will begin with these in the mean time.

Probiotics are a good start, another simple thing that could do in the meantime is take some coconut oil, it has strong antiviral, antifungal and antibiotic properties. I hope you find something that helps.
