I have hypothyroidism which I treat with NDT
I don’t feel too bad at the moment...... but the sweating is driving me nuts !
I’m well past the menopause any ideas what I should be doing to combat this ?
Many thanks for reading

The sweating may be a cortisol problem. My cortisol was high - over the range on three out of four saliva samples and very high in range on the one result which was in range. I have used adaptogens to reduce my cortisol and it has reduced my sweating as a result.
One problem though... there is a lot of overlap in symptoms between high and low cortisol. People can't guess whether theirs is high or low. It must be tested. The best test to do is a four part saliva test which also includes a DHEA test. The best one I know of is the Regenerus test :

Please note that supplements and medications can affect cortisol levels.

Do not stop taking something which affects cortisol without being sure that it is safe to do so and you won't suffer as a result.
High/low blood sugar levels will cause sweating.
Hi there I suffered with this for nearly 3 years it was absolutely AWFUL - I would go bright red like a telephone box and that would not go down for hours - so embarrassing. I actually realised that I was over medicated by the NDT as my body did not need the T3 unbeknown to me - I was OK for T3. I just take Levo now and although still get a bit hot when it is over 80 degrees - nothing like I used to.
I expect you already know the possible "treatments" for hyperhidrosis, but just in case you don't, they include:
Iontophoresis (which I find works, but is impractical for many areas where I need it)
Botox injections (I won't do these, but they do supposedly work)
Surgically cutting nerves (I won't do this)
Beta blockers (I have been putting off using these, but my GP has just prescribed some. I might try a very low dose once I am happy that my self-medication for hypothyroidism is stable)
Specialist anti-perspirants (the only facial one that I have found that works seems to give me bad eczema instead. I am still experimenting with ones for body and scalp)
In terms of other things that you can try, although none have worked for me:
reduce cortisol levels
quit caffeine
check if you are overmedicated and straying into hyperthyroidal territory
check your vitamin levels, particularly vitamin D3
check any other medications that you take. Sweating is a side effect of a surprising number, particularly those with neurological effects
reduce stress/anxiety
lose weight if overweight
