Hey everyone. I may seem completely crazy but the last few days (especially in the mornings and evenings) I keep getting the small of fake tan on my hands.... Even though I haven't used fake tan in a number of years.
Its really bizarre... I can wash them, not wash them or even put a scented moisteriser on them and they stink of fake tan!!
Am I going crazy of could there be some kind of medical reasoning for this?
Has anyone ever experienced anything similar??

What meds are you on? And what is your most recent thyroid blood results ?
As I always think it's when I have fluctuated and feel a bit hyper ?
Maybe google what experiencing smells that aren’t there means. I have read that it may be a sign if something but not sure what.
The fancy medical term is phantosmia. Put that into the search box and you will get a number of older posts.
The most commonly reported version, here, is probably cigarette smoke! That is what I had, occasionally, for a few years. Very mild and more interesting and slightly frustrating than anything else.
Seems to be one of those things that most often happens for a while, then disappears.
What does fake tan smell like? Are they are similar?
