Hairloss can be due to vitamin deficiencies and can also be a symptom of hypothyroidism.

What are your current test results/ranges for thyroid and Vit D, B12, Folate and Ferritin?

30 yrs ago I spent two years visiting dermatology to finally be told I had vitiligo an autoimmune disease. I had a brilliant lady doctor at the time who when asked why I had 10 pence size of hair loss in various areas immediately sent me for a blood test. With in a week I was on armour which was the only medication available then. A month later all the hair had begun growing again.

I experienced terrible hair loss when my TSH was low ( for me). 0.76 I believe. Under 1 for sure. It went on the whole time I was hyper ( for me) and when it was corrected my hair started growing again and has been fine ever since.

Are you hypo or hyper my daughter hypo but her tsh under 1 by taking levo ? I wonder if she should reduce dose?

According to the people here I am hypo. According to my numbers and my GP here in Canada I am normal. I am convinced I’m hyper though. I have nine out of eleven symptoms for it and only three for hypo.
