The root of almost any chronic condition is touched in this wonderful series. See how the thyroid is also connected.

This will only be viewable for about 24 hours.

Excellent series.

I am very fortunate that I have the time to watch this and many others. There are many brilliant doctors sharing their knowledge.

I agree and we see the whole picture of autoimmune disease which is very motivating. If only OUR doctors would watch.

Health history is important and having heartburn or constipation as a child is a clue for later disease and where it will be. Food sensitivity is most important in Hashimoto's. Antibodies are seen very early on. Adrenal fatigue and estrogen dominance, also clues.

Taking hormone did not improve their health to any degree. Even personality changed. Izabella used a lot of probiotics for her case. Reversing estrogen dominance was very important. Avoid gluten, dairy, corn soy. Even ovarian failure for Izabella. Detoxing of the liver was another treatment necessary. An episode for detox shortly.

Don't ignore early symptoms. Your microbiome is your boss.

They know more about the microbiome. Obesity has a clear connection to something specific in the microbiome. The firmicutes to bacteroidetes balance is off. These are two major groups but there are subgroups. A patient, Jen, had a certain fungal overgrowth and once she was treated she lost 60 pounds. Specialty testing for gut function and stool test and food sensitivity needed correcting. She was avoiding certain food groups and having less diversity in the gut and still struggling. She became deficient in many nutrients. She had been avoiding fat.

There is no one diet for everyone whether paleo or AIP or Keto. Testing is necessary.

I really wish people would watch all of the documentary series as there is so much to learn I have typed notes from about 10 different series.

I do the same as there is such a load of information in this series. It may be overwhelming at times. I'm glad to see the word is getting out and these functional doctors can actually work without hindrance. There is still resistance and of course no insurance coverage yet. I'm glad they are able to develop their own formulas and tests. Conventional medicine seems oblivious so where else are we going to find out the source of our ailments? Thanks for your support.
