Technically, you are hypo, because your TSH is over three. But, you would never get a doctor to diagnose you until your TSH is at least over-range - and that range is really high! Wow!

However, your FT4 is just over mid-range, so that's good. Which probably means that your FT3 is low, causing the high TSH. But, as the NHS will rarely test FT3, and doctors don't understand it anyway, that won't get your a diagnosis, either.

But, for your own satisfaction, I would suggest getting complete thyroid testing privately:

TSH

FT4

FT3

TPO antibodies

Tg antibodies (as you have PA, you're very likely to also have Hashi's)

vit D

ferritin

I presume you've had your folate tested and are taking a B complex with your B12 injections? But, did you know that the biotin in a B complex can skew blood test results, so you should stop it two or three days before the blood draw? :)

Yes I’m on all the co- factors and I understand Doctors are reluctant to diagnose anything connected to hormones / Vitamin related as there quite ignorant to all the health problems connected to it sadly, but can I buy anything to medicate myself as i really want to get myself on form and feeling my best as I’m also a full time carer to my disabled husband and need to be well to care for him. Thank you so much for replying to my post.

Have replied to you on the PAS Forum. Am wondering if you managed to have the full thyroid testing suggested by greygoose three years ago. Worth reading her reply again ....

Edit: apologies for the underlining - not sure how that happened !
