You should go to GP or A & E and make sure it’s not Lyme ..if it is it’s easily treated if you go straight away

I think a spider is the most likely. I'm in Sussex so fortunately nothing too dangerous to worry about :-)

A spider bite has two puncture marks.

As Irene’s suggested, best get checked for Lyme disease from ticks.

I'm going to pop into the doctors tomorrow morning :-)

As I understand it, whilst spiders do have two venom-injecting fangs and typically bite with both at the same time, in any spider smaller than a tarantula, ie those in the UK, the entry points of the two fangs will be so close together that there is little if any visible separation; and the fangs are so slender and sharp that the actual entry points are all but invisible.

Oh no!

I knew my spiders were big, but didn’t think they looked tarantula sized. I had two distinct puncture marks on my hand. A friend was bitten on her face & had the same.

Are you sure it's a bite and not a reaction to a plant you may have come in contact with ? Euphorbia gives a similar reaction.

I think it is a bite, the red area around the head is quite hard. Definitely don't have any euphorbia in the garden :-)
