Changed from 75mg to 50mg

Hey everyone I changed from 75mg to 50mg after 11 days as my anxiety was horrendous. I’ve been on the 50mg 2 days and I almost fainted earlier felt everything going dark but went back to normal after a minute. Now I’m in panic mode just in case I do faint. Feel so tense and feel like I’m not breathing properly like I keep stopping. I also feel cold and shaky. Has anyone ever had this? TIA

Why was your dose reduced? Do you have the test results (and reference ranges) that prompted this reduction?

Was you brand of Levo changed when the dose was reduced?

It was reduced solely on the fact my anxiety was bad but my anxiety now is awful. Like in panic mode my chest is so tight. I literally just spoke to my doctor and he said to reduce and come off them altogether. I’m not really sure how this is going to help.

The 75mcg was teva and the 50mcg is mercury pharma.

Anxiety is a symptom of hypothyroidism.

Looking at your other threads, your starting dose of Levo was 75mcg Teva, and it was pointed out to you that Teva causes problems for many people.

Now you have some 50mcg Mercury Pharma, if it was me I'd cut the 50mcg tablet in half and start on 25mcg and build up slowly. It might be a rough journey, but you're having that anyway.

He’s prescribed me 25mcg so will go pick them up and see how they go. This is so frustrating. Haven’t been this anxious for a long time. Anxiety really is awful. Thank you for replying.

The 25mcg ones may possibly be Teva brand, it's up to you whether you want to take that brand.

Omg 😖 I hope not. I’ll cut the others in half if they are.

Check the bag before leaving the pharmacy, at the counter in front of the pharmacist or whoever hands you the bag. If they are Teva and you don't want them, hand them back (you can't do it once you've left the premises). Say that brand causes you side effects and you want a different brand.

Mercury Pharma do 25mcg, also Wockhardt.

If they say they can't get a different brand, only Teva, then ask for your prescription back and ring round other pharmacies to see who can supply one of the other brands.
