Levothyroxine? This takes 7-10 days to enter the cells properly, you may feel something after a couple of weeks, it may take several weeks. Make sure you are retested 6 weeks after starting Levo and then you should have an increase in dose. Retesting/increasing dose every 6-8weeks thereafter until you reach the optimal dose for you. It could take months to reach your optimal dose. This isn't a quick fix I'm afraid.

I am on Eurhyrox, cuz i am living in another country not UK. But it is same as Levo. I started with 1/2 of 25 mg but through my treatment i increase my dose after one month

Are you sure that is half of a 25mg tablet?

I think you will find it is 25mcg (micrograms). Micrograms is the dose for levothyroxine.

rxlist.com/euthyrox-drug.htm

"EUTHYROX tablets for oral administration are supplied in the following strengths: 25 mcg, 50 mcg, 75 mcg, 88 mcg, 100 mcg, 112 mcg, 125 mcg, 137 mcg, 150 mcg, 175 mcg, and 200 mcg"

So you've started on 12.5mcg and that is basically a child's dose.

Normal starting dose for adults is 50mcg, unless they are elderly or have heart disease and then it's 25mcg, possibly 12.5mcg

I'm afraid 12.5mcg will do very little, an you may feel worse until you get up to a decent dose.

From the same link:

The peak therapeutic effect of a given dose of EUTHYROX may not be attained for 4 to 6 weeks.

Start EUTHYROX at the full replacement dose in otherwise healthy, non-elderly individuals who have been hypothyroid for only a short time (such as a few months). The average full replacement dose of EUTHYROX is approximately 1.6 mcg per kg per day (for example: 100 mcg per day to 125 mcg per day for a 70 kg adult).

Adjust the dose by 12.5 mcg to 25 mcg increments every 4 to 6 weeks until the patient is clinically euthyroid and the serum TSH returns to normal.

For elderly patients or patients with underlying cardiac disease, start with a dose of 12.5 mcg per day to 25 mcg per day.

Standard starter dose is 50mcgs unless you are over 50 years old.

If over 50 years old, starting on 25mcg is more common

Hiya ..

What symptoms are you feeling or trying to better ?

I hope you are aware of the ingredients in your medication as not once have I noticed any improvement.
