I have extensive hair loss and mid range normal testosterone. Also gluten free so thinking its more like to be diet and medication causing my problems. Can't speak for anyone else guessing most people's thyroid problems are similar.

Thanks for posting. The debate on how gluten free you should be is interesting, Dr K is saying 100% where as Dr Micheal Ruscio says unless you have tested positive for coeliac, then you can re-introduce and see how you go, maybe being gluten free but not worrying about cross-contamination through to the occasionally eating bread. I guess we are all different and need to be in charge of our own health, and to figure out what's right for us. It's a mine field!

I've been to 4 endo's in 18 months who all tell I'm negative for autoimmune disease. But when I eat gluten the hair starts falling out. Shame it's in Levo.

Thanks for this it was all very useful and interesting . Do you have any more recent published papers relating to Hashimotos and brain dementia. The one referred to in the article in the link is from 2013.
