Resistant starch for constipation

Hi all,

Just wanted to share with you that since a few weeks I've added resistant starch to my diet and it made my stool much better. My constipation is much less now. I tried lots of other things like flaxseeds, flaxoil, lots of magnesium, vitamine C, drinking water, massaging my belly, apple fiber, psylliumfiber, lots of veggies and butter, but it did not help. Because I have diabetes type 1 the resistant starch did not seem to be a good idea, but it appears to have less negative effect on my bloodsugars than I expected. I now eat every day f.e. just 1/3 of a green banana, 1/2 of a small raw potato mixed with some salad, 1/2 of a small potato cooked and cooled, or simply add a coffeespoon of potato starch to some yoghurt.

Maybe it is worth trying for others too.
