Hi

Due to extreme fatigue and weight loss my doctor has referred me for ct scan of abdomen, chest and pelvis. I am worried about the amount of radiation involved and wonder if there is another imaging modality !

Will be most grateful for your thoughts.

What about an MRI scan or ultrasound? Could that be an option? Then you have to weigh up the benefits as opposed to the disadvantages of it all for you etc.

Thanks for your reply. I did mention this to my consultant but the imaging would not be as accurate. Also with chest one can't do Mri or ultra sound.
