I’m currently taking 100mcg of Levothyroxine and I felt fine then. However since 2 days ago I’m feeling hypo symptoms. I read that some increase their dosage during winter and I was wondering if anyone actually does so.
My hypo symptoms are:
Shakiness (funnily enough)
Warm throat.
Fatigue
Hard heartbeat
Body pains
Feeling down
I know it sounds like hyper symptoms but I had these symptoms before I started medication. And they disappeared after I was medicated.
Also, are there DIY blood tests that I can use in Switzerland? I can’t rely on my doctor because he thinks I should take less medication because my TSH was 0.17
Thank you for your time.

Yes, I find that cold weather increases my need for thyroid supplementation.
I take T3 only, and so can adjust daily according to the weather. In freezing weather I need on average 10 more mcgs. With Levothyroxine I seem to remember that as winter approached I increased by 25mcg daily. But People on Levo will be able to advise better.
This climate change weather that switches about so often from warm to cold presents a challenge. My metabolism is quite often out of step with it.
Thank you for your reply. I’ve started by adding 15mg of Armour above the 100mg of Levothyroxine to see if it makes any difference. Hopefully since it has some T3 in it, I will be able to tell rather quickly if my symptoms are in fact under medication or not.
