I am unable to stand for more than a minute or two without extreme discomfort. Anyone else experience this?

What sort of discomfort? Pain, if so, where? Dizziness, nausea, balance issues? Fatigue? Drop in BP? Something else?

Are you diagnosed as having a thyroid problem?

Do you have any actual blood test results? if not, you will need to get hold of copies. You are legally entitled to printed copies of your blood test results and ranges.

UK GP practices are supposed to offer online access for blood test results. Ring and ask if this is available and apply to do so if possible, if it is you may need "enhanced access" to see blood results.

In reality many GP surgeries do not have blood test results online yet

Alternatively ring receptionist and request printed copies of results. Allow couple of days and then go and pick up. They can no longer charge for printing out, rules changed after May 25th 2018

How much Levothyroxine are you taking ?

Can you add most recent results and ranges for TSH, FT3 and FT4, plus have you also had thyroid antibodies tested

Also helpful if had vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested. Add results and ranges if you have them

Low vitamin levels are extremely common.

Another common problem for leg discomfort (standing or walking) is peripheral vascular disease. I would have this checked out as compromised circulation in our legs is a very common reason for leg pain.

Please don't dismiss this as a possible cause if your cardiac status seems to be fine and you have no problems in this area. It is possible to have peripheral problems without heart involvement and vice versa.

Please do look into this.

Yes I had this for years and although I now walk happily twice a day, the burning feet and joint pain mostly gone, standing still is painful. My feet, ankles, shins, knees and hips start to feel inflamed, painful and burn. All the standing in kitchen on Xmas day cooking has left me in bed for 2 days. As long as I'm moving I'm ok. I shop online as I can't stand in queues, I fidget and get anxious when the pain starts. It is one of my remaining hypo symptoms xx

I struggle to stand. I'm still quite ill so I also struggle to walk, sit up in a chair, get dressed etc, etc. I do think standing still is difficult in its own way, and probably harder than gentle walking or pottering in the kitchen, etc.

I tend to feel lightheaded, very quickly feel the fatigue, like the gravity has been turned up and I'm being pulled towards the ground, nausea. Overall it's just not having the energy.
