I would go to your opticians and get them to check your eyes, I suffer from blepheritis and have to manage it with heat masks and wipes, also my eyes are dry but it’s treatable so worth a visit .

Hello geegee888

Just make sure any products you use for your eyes are preservative free -

also, a warm wet flannel pressed over closed eyes can be soothing -

and whilst there gently massage clean flannel into the roots of the eye lashes to loosen any debris, that maybe blocking your tear ducts.

What are your most recent blood test results and ranges like?

How are your vitamin levels?

Dry eyes can be linked to thyroid.

Hi gee gee. Have you used any creams lotions or eye lash make up? I had sore dry eyes which were diagnosed as an allergic response. I have allergies to inhaling bleach floor cleaners , chlorine and ammonia. I was prescribed special eye drops which helped he condition. As simply red mentioned. blepharitis might be diagnosed. I went to a specialist who had equipment who could see the mites which cause the proble, They become active at night. He did a special treatment with an electronic bud with a lotion which he used on the eyelids. This then removed the mites. Then I use special ocular wipes every day.

I had tests with yellow drops which turned my eyes red and sore - on the nhs. So after repeated visits I was referred privately to an eye specialist where the actual eye was inflamed with the allergies. Antihistamines such as clarity prescribed can help the allergiv response with drops. Mine were used for post surgical ops and did not contain steroids.
