Hi everyone I am new on this site and would like to get some advice if possible. I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid in the beginning of 2018, I initially was always feeling dizzy, nauseous, tired and was always getting heart pulpitations,I have been back and forth with the doctor’s on this and they initially thought it was anxiety and depression so I tried two different medications for that and it made me feel worse so I stopped taking the medication now they say it’s an under active thyroid so I am on the 50 tablets and recently had blood work done and my levels are fine now but I am constantly getting pulpitations and they seem to be getting worse and it’s starting to worry me I don’t know what to do the doctor keeps saying it’s not to be a concern but I feel terrible all the time can someone please give me some advice sorry for rambling on thank you

Pulpitations while taking Levo thyroxine
Could you get a copy of your latest thyroid blood test results and post them here then people can comment? Make sure they include the lab ranges which are needed to interpret results.
To be honest I was on thyroxin for 18 years and had Palps all that time, was sent for an ECG and was told I was fine so I guess I just put up with it, then this year has been really bad for me with one thing and another so presented with really bad anxiety so the Palps got really bad and I took myself to A&E because my pulse was 120, they also did an ECG that came back that I had a high heart rate and needed to address my anxiety, I often wonder if it was because when I was diagnosed I was put straight onto throxine 150mg and not started low then gradually built up I suppose I will never know, now I have to take beta blockers to calm my heart down.
Palpitations and only a starter dose of 50 mcg Levothyroxine would seem to indicate that you are on too low a dose at the moment. However, as mentioned, you need to post your blood test results and their ranges, for folks to comment more accurately; and from your response it seems that you have not been routinely asking for a copy of your test results which is really important if you are to manage your thyroid health well.
