I was diagnosed with graves disease in August it took a while but thing have started to go in the right direction re my medication,
Went from 40mg of carbimazole to 20 mg and now 15mg which I have bben. On for just over a week also on propranolol for side effects, up until I started on the 15mg carbimazole I was very much caught in a cycle of insomnia now I'm the opposite and would sleep round the clock if I could is this normal.
Do you have any recent test results for the thyroid ? - sounds as if you have gone Hypo. Fatigue is one of the main symptoms. Did you have anti-bodies for Graves when you were diagnosed back in August ?
I suspect you are maybe over medicated now and having hypo symptoms. Do you have recent blood test results? Are you having bloods done regularly even as often as 4 weekly ? Carbimazole can often work quickly with some people and before you know it you have gone ‘under’. 20mcg to 15mcg is not a huge reduction but your blood test results will give us a better idea of what’s happening here.
