Your acid reflux may be due to low stomach acid.

Try a teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar in water prior to eating. Choose the type with probiotics in, which might be labelled as containing "the mother", & give the bottle a jiggle to mix the probiotic sediment before you pour it out.

I find a grapefruit before meals woks, too.
