Is it safe to increase by 50% the levothyroxine doses now that I find out I’m 4 weeks pregnant or should I wait for my doctors appointment?

See you were diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2008
50mcg Levothyroxine is only a starter dose. Dose is normally increased slowly in 25mcg steps until TSH is around one and FT4 towards top of range and FT3 at least half way in range
Can you add your most recent blood test results and ranges
See any GP as emergency appointment on Monday. At very least you need Levothyroxine increased by 25mcgs
But essential to test B12 and folate levels too. Good levels essential for baby's neurological development. Often too low when hypothyroid
Vitamin D and ferritin need testing as well
