How can I tell if I'm a poor converter?

Morning all

My levothyroxine was increased on 25/09 from 50mcg to 75mcg and my most recent blood tests are below. My T4 doesn't seem to be changing much whereas my TSH is coming down nicely.

Does this mean I have a conversion problem? I'm still struggling to lose the 17lbs I've gained in the last year. Am I under medicated?

I stopped taking my supplements (Igennus Super B-Complex x 2 per day and desiccated liver) a week before my bloods. My bloods were taken at 08:00 on an empty stomach without taking my levothyroxine.

Serum free T4 level 16.2 pmol/L [11.0 - 23.0]24/07/18

Serum free T4 level 15.9 pmol/L [11.0 – 23.0]16/08/18

Serum free T4 level 16.8 pmol/L [11.0 – 23.0]06/11/18

Serum TSH level 8.2 mU/L [0.27 - 4.5]24/07/18

Serum TSH level 6.5 miu/L [0.27 - 4.5]16/08/18

Serum TSH level 1.6 mU/L [0.27 - 4.5]06/11/18

Any help will be much appreciated.

You need your free t3 tested at the same Time as TSH and free t4 to tell how you are converting.

Unfortunately I've asked and they refused.

Figures, if you can afford it you could get private blood test via thyroid UK, at least then you will know. It's what I have to do.
