T3 Friendly Endo

Hi All,

Just a follow up on my attempt to get an NHS prescription for T3.

I have been kindly sent a list of endos by Dionne so am wondering if the desired outcome with a consultation with them would be that they would contact my CCG supporting my need for T3. Or would they just be prepared to write a private prescription, and is it worth contacting them first to see what they would be prepared to do? I had private prescriptions before when I trialled T3 but it was very expensive; at the dosage I take now there would be no way I could afford it privately.

Many thanks

Mike

If your private prescription specified Thybon Henning Liothyronine Hydrochloride you could source it directly from Germany at a much lower cost of c 30 Euros for 100 tablets (note: 100 tablets not 30). I doubt the Endo would take on the CCG direct but may suggest to your GP that he does so. My own Endo has twice written to my GP supporting the reinstatement of my withdrawn NHS T3 of 9 years, but I'm still without it.

Hi Maisie - many thanks. Do you take Thybon Henning?

Yes, with a private prescription from my NHS GP.

Great. Can I PM you a couple of questions as I have been talking to the German supplier today?

Yes of course, but can't guarantee to have all/any of the answers :-)

I used thybon from Germany when Frau Krazs ? was there , very easy to manage site. After they were taken over I found it difficult , went to NDT . Sadly looks like I need to go back to T4/T3 combo. Can you let me know if getting around the site is any easier . Im not very computer savvy . Thanks

It would depend which pharmacy you were having your prescription dispensed by, I should imagine.
