As it’s THYROID THURSDAY TOMORROW ?!

I’ve had a bit of a mental block for some reason about getting these tests done -

Where do I start ? Do I ring them first ?

Where do I get blood drawn as they’re in Nottingham ?

Give me a boot up the bottom please ?

( I think it’s that I’m so busy managing everything else !- my excuse )

It’s very easy! Just order the test you require online. You can pay by PayPal if that’s easiest for you or by card. They then send the kit out to you with full instructions.

Doing the finger prick test is so much easier than I expected☺️. I was really dubious about that and looked into having blood drawn at a local hospital but am so glad I tried the DIY finger prick first. It’s so much more convenient when you need to do it as early as possible in the morning. And less expensive too.

Go on, give it a try!!

Good luck

Caroline

PS This is a link for Medichecks who are offering 20% of all tests during September with voucher code MED99. You have to see which is the best price as I guess you can only take advantage of Thyroid Thursday or the September voucher.

medichecks.com/thyroid-func...

Remember you can buy the kit for future use; it doesn't have to be used immediately😊

Hi Avid, I did a Blue Horizon check a few months ago, a fingerprick test and it was so easy, Now bought a Medichecks test on special offer and I'm saving it for a while till I am ready for it.

It is an easy test (finger prick) but good to follow the posts here on the best way to do it re: being hydrated etc.

All new to me, but I did it and it has been so useful, so go for it girl ! Post here with the results. j x

I did a Blue Horizon test, wanted more checked than could be done via finger prick so gave them a call. They told me where I could get bloods taken without using my GP. Ordered online, choose where I wanted to go & as was a private hospital just turned up & got them done. No arguing with GP that I needed a slot first thing & results within a few days.

As above but I phone up the Chaucer for an appointment for a the blood draw. £25 fee. Then post. Always do early in the week so sample does not get caught in the post and spoil
