Teva and changing Levo brands

I have two questions: Is Teva the one produced by Merck that changed its product and created such a big scandal in France?

If so, in Greece it's called Evthyrox. I stopped taking it about a week ago and switched to another brand of Levothyroxin. Haven't felt much better. Will be very grateful for all and any tips, experiences etc. Thanks in advance!

Teva is Teva!

It does contain mannitol - as does the Euthyrox supplied in France. Whether that is the issue is another question, I'm afraid. We can speculate that it is the cause, but we really do not know.

If you have only just swapped then you probably won't feel any different yet. It takes 6 weeks for a new brand to get fully into your system.

I know that's what everyone says but I've felt a difference after just 3 days. So I switched back to Evthyrox , thinking the changed components only applied to what was sold in France. A mistake. Now I'm back to a Greek brand that I took for years before the switch. Only 6 days and I feel very tired every two days but no other side effects. So I'll give it a chance and get my blood tested in 6 weeks.

I am unable to take Teva thyroxine brand, it gives me side effects of pounding heart and chest pain and I generally feel unwell. When I took it around 18 months ago it took me a long time to work out that the ta blets were making me bad, but just 3 days on them recently and had exactly the same problem. Not sure why.

I felt the same when I switched in April. Also 3 days and I felt bad. Now I'm back to a tried and true brand that I took for years until a trusted doc suggested I switch to Evthyrox.
