A quick question: for how long should I stop taking my multivitamin, which contains Biotin, before having thyroid tests?

Thanks for your help.

3-5 days, I go for the 5 days personally.

Just as an aside, multivitamins are pretty useless as they tend to contain too little of anything to help, usually contain the wrong and least absorbable form of active ingredients, and if they contain calcium and/or iodine (kelp) then these should be tested before supplemented and only take if deficient. Also, if it contains iron then the absorption of everything else will be affected as iron should be taken at least 2 hours away from any other supplements or medication.

Thanks.

I am B12 deficient and self inject daily. I've experimented to find the right balance of other things and have found this particular multivitamin the best for me. It doesn't contain any iron but, irritatingly, does

contain biotin.
