Don’t really understand my Blood results from GP?? 🤔

I am on 100 mcg of Levothyroxine a day. My test results are below. Is everything ok please? So pleased to be part of this forum, it’s been so helpful.

Your TSH result is 0.85 with a range of 0.30-5.00, so it's within range at the lower end. But that's not the whole picture, testing FT4 and FT3 complete the picture but are rarely done. The aim of a treated hypo patient generally is for TSH to be 1 or below with FT4 and FT3 in the upper part of their ranges if that is where you feel well.

So the question is not whether your TSH result is OK, but how do you feel?

The TSH looks good. If you feel OK then everything is fine.

Impossible to tell with only a TSH test. You need free T4 and free T3 (the actual thyroid hormones) tested also. How do you feel?

Hello thank you so much for replying to me. Where do I go for T4 & T3 results? Are you able to tell me please? Feel like I have four double chins 😔 and tired!

Go see endocrinologist right away

The only way to get a Free T4 and a Free T3 test if your GP won't do them for you is to pay privately for them. But you haven't told us why you are worried about your results or how you feel.

You can find out more about ordering private tests online from this link :

this medicine is for your thyroid. Your GP should send you to a endocrinologist, thyroid meds is nothing to play around with.

Doris61 I would guess that sarihoult is taking Levothyroxine prescribed by her GP. In the UK hypothyroidism is usually diagnosed and treated by ordinary General Practitioners, and sufferers are not usually sent to endocrinologists.
